Most Recent Customer ReviewsDate : 2010-03-11 Summary : Great item and great price I wanted to try a heart rate monitor watch and decided to buy the least expensive model I could find that also had good reviews. I'm very satisfied with my choice.
I've had zero problems. It's easy to set up and easy to use. I really like that it will sync up with the cardio machines at the gym as well. (Once it's up and running, the machines automatically pick up the signal. You don't have to do anything.)
This watch doesn't have a lot of special features, but if you just want a basic heart rate monitor watch at a competitive price, I highly recommend this model.
Date : 2010-03-05 Summary : Excellent Monitor I have been using the heart rate monitor at my local Planet Fitness and seems to be working great. Picks up my heart rate on all their equipment without any trouble at all. The chest band is comfortable once properly adjusted. This monitor should last a long time as you can just install a new battery when the old one dies. The watch band is plastic and comfortable on the wrist. If your looking for a plain old heart rate monitor to make sure your in the zone then Timex is your answer. I would buy another one if this one went bad.
Date : 2010-02-25 Summary : simple and almost perfect Perfect for monitoring your heart rate during workouts. BIG dial, one touch and you get continuous monitoring. Easy to read the large numbers when we leave the lights off during spinning. My indiglo functions does not seem to work, or I have not figured out how to use it. I don't work out in pitch blackness so I do not care. The chest band is comfortable but is a bit small if you have a football build. Great value for the money. I wanted simple to use, and got it.
Date : 2010-02-23 Summary : Simple and effective I bought this HRM watch after reviewing the specs carefully and i am pretty happy with its performance. It does what it claims it would do. I have had no problems what so ever in the 1 month when i have been using this. The best thing about this product in my opinion are
1) It is easy to change batteries by the user
2) consistent hr readings
3) no need to wet the chest strap flaps. As i have been able to get this to work without wetting it.
4) the chest strap fits very snugly. So i don't feel it awkward during my workouts
Minus Points
1) The hr watch is designed in such a way that the strap cannot be changed. If the strap is damaged you cannot fix this easily
2) You can store only the last workout information. that too only the following 3 readings are stored for you
- Workout duration
- Avg Heart Rate
- Peak Heart Rate
But this is anyway mentioned in the specs. So you should be fine with this little information if you are going to use this device only to make sure that you are working out in your zone. And that you have no intention of reviewing and reconstructing your HR readings second by second post workout. If so then then this would be ideal.
Date : 2010-02-22 Summary : Great buy I bought this for my wife and she loves it. She's used it a few times per week since Christmas and it has worked well every time.
